HELP FOR CALIFORNIA

California wildfires x Australia's fire season

For more than 15 years, the USA and Australia have been formally exchanging large-scale firefighting assistance through reciprocal agreements, joint leases and goodwill by sharing equipment, people and knowledge.

Historically, wildfires and bushfires broadly impact each country's opposing summer fire seasons. However, this year, the California fires are blazing in the their winter season, during Australia's summer fire season. Both countries and regions urgently require assistance to prevent further large-scale destruction.
